Rug Hooking Pumpkin Project

Instructor: Sara-Beth Black

Date: October 18, 2023
Time:  9:00-1:00 pm
Maximum number of students: 8

Location: Boarding House, Historic Johnson Farm on Haywood Road, Hendersonville, NC
Prerequisites: if you know how to “pull a loop”, great! (But not absolutely necessary).
Class Description: Learn how to hook a pattern, different techniques to use and suggestions on finishing the project.

Fee:  $40 for members, $50 for non-members
Materials fee: Kit fee $40

Materials Used (provided by instructor or HWFA): kit will include pattern printed on monks cloth, cut wool, hook, color hooking guide and handout on “how to hook”.  I will also bring hoops and a few frames for you to try.

Supplies brought by student: If you have it, an embroidery frame at least 12” round and 1” deep. (I do have these for sale – but try them in class before you buy). Sharp scissors!  A good attitude and tolerance for a sarcastic teacher who sometimes uses bad words is a must!
