Location: Boarding House, Historic Johnson Farm on Haywood Road, Hendersonville, NC

Prerequisites:  prior basket making experience or have taken the Beginners Market Basket class
Class Description: This is an art basket and has been an award winning design in basket competitions. It is shaped like a ginger jar, with a wood base and using a mold to form the shape.  

You will learn the following skills: 

• incorporate a stained wooden base for stability
• use a mold/object to create a desired shape
• wire and stain to enhance the design
• use tension to widen or tighten the weaving pattern   

Fee: $60 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at the time of registration) or  $70  for non-members, payable by check, cash or credit card to HWFA.
Materials fee: $20

Supplies brought by student: all materials supplied by teacher.
